Howie’s Bar and Questionable Behaviour from Revelation TV staff

One thing that is starting to become very clear is that Revelation TV believe STRONGLY in the old saying that “The best defence, is a good offense”

I was recently contacted by Sheila, who was libelled in the same Facebook post as myself. The sad part is, this lady thought she was alone in being lied about. Until she came across my blog, she hadn’t seen Howard’s Facebook post, so it was news to her.

We started emailing and it became clear that like myself, this person had contacted Revelation out of concern for the integrity of the station and the general damage to the faith.

Sheila and her husband were both monthly donors to the channel often giving additional one off gifts, both financial and otherwise. However, when Sheila asked the wrong (or should I say right) questions, she was treated very badly. Eventually Gordon used the usual tactic of litigation threats and Sheila went quiet until now.

One of the initial things Sheila had contacted Revelation regarding was Bishop Michael Reid. His sermons were being broadcast on Revelation TV.

They were known for their healings and miracles, but Sheila found Reid’s general approach judgmental, rude and inappropriate for the station. I have personally been to a few of his meetings and his style is needlessly and deliberately offensive. Shelia pointed this out to Lesley and on air was publicly ridiculed. Her husband spoke to Howard about this and he said he can’t police every person on air.

It later turned out that Bishop Reid had been having an 8 year affair with a church member, whilst all the time preaching about family values.

Another concern raised was Howie’s bar/club. This venture has Conder prints all over it, including most obviously its name! It’s questionable for a Christian to own a bar/club, but that’s not the problem here. The issue is that the Conders and Revelation TV are denying completely any involvement with the bar and are being most rude about it.

From what I’ve been told, when questioned about the subject, Lesley Conder actually asked the person “are you well?” implying that the person was not mentally sound to be asking such a silly question.

When Sheila recently asked Alan Tun about Howie’s, this is the response she received…,.

Following our telephone conversation and having studied the documents you sent me by email, I can tell you that Howard never owned a restaurant or bar.

I have informed Howard what you told me over the phone and have asked him to open his heart to the Holy Spirit, which he said he will do.

It also should be noted that when Sheila pressed further with more specific questions regarding Directorships of Howie’s club she has received no response. I have also made request, but had no response as yet.

The other thing that was raised was the behaviour of the Conder children. This was not raised in a judgemental way, but as a warning that inappropriate pictures, tweets and other involvements were not looking good for the integrity of the channel.

As all Conder children are/have been paid staff at the station this was a very real issue.

A good example of an inappropriate tweet is this one from Bethany Conder (Howard and Lesley’s daughter)

I will not go too deep into the sort of things involved, but it is very clear that Luke Conder was involved in the organisation and ticket sales of “Snogg Parties” – yes they actually called them that, in fact “Snogg and Sintillate” (sin til late). It was advertised as a Playboy event and that a Playboy model and friends would be there

Questions were also raised regarding the donations that were made specifically for the OB (Outside Broadcast) truck, which was for the purpose of broadcasting from all over the UK. Apparently they eventually bought a truck for Spain, but this would not have been what most viewers wanted. Donors were never offered either a return of their donations or a proper explanation.

My new friend decided to contact Revelation regarding the libellous comments she found about herself on Howard’s Facebook post from November 2014. She managed to speak with Alan Tun, but he towed the line and denied all the key points.

In fairness to Alan, he has been living in Canada for years and may even have been lied to himself about the reality of the situation. Even if this were the case, the lack of discernment is a serious concern. There seems to be a blind belief in Conder and Pettie. The other troubling factor is that Alan knows my story, which follows a very similar pattern as this one.

As usual, it’s the same cycle of deny and threaten. Howard will still not read my emails (as far as I know) and I suspect the same for those sent by Sheila. The trustees were copied into all of both sets of correspondence, but even when asked for a response from themselves, there is silence. Sadly, they seem to be no more than “yes” men.

Things have to change.

How much longer will we have to put up with honest people being abused for trying to do the right thing?
